Dental Services
Our Affordable Dental Services include the following:
Dental Exam
During your first visit, our dentist will provide you with a complete dental exam including necessary digital X-rays, cancer screening, and gum evaluation. Upon completion of your exam, several treatment options will be discussed with you.Dental Sealants
Sealants protect teeth from decay development. Sealants are applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth.Mouth Guards
We provide many different types of mouth guards depending on the need of the patient. Our dentist will take an impression of your teeth so you can have your own custom fit. We make the following mouth guards:- Night guards
- Retainers
- Sport guards
- Bleaching trays
Digital X-rays
We use digital X-ray technology that reduces the patient’s exposure to radiation as much as 90%. With digital X-rays, less radiation is needed to produce high-quality images. These images can then be evaluated by our dentist on a large flat-screen monitor. This allows for easier detection of any problems. With such a large image, it is also easier for patients to see and understand what is happening with their teeth.Dental Cleaning
One of the most important parts of your dental care is regular teeth cleaning. Our dentist recommends brushing your teeth after every meal.Treatment of gum diseases
Upon completion of a detailed gum health evaluation, our dentist determines the treatment that may include the following:- Gentle ultrasonic cleaning using ultrasonic scaler*
- Hand scaling*
- Root planning
- Oral irrigation with antimicrobial agents
- Antibiotic gum treatment
- Periodontal laser therapy
Root canal treatment
Each tooth has a cavity filling with pulp and nerves. The pulp provides nutrients to the tooth. When the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue dies. Some of the reasons why pulp dies caries (tooth decay), old leaking or broken fillings, cracked teeth, and tooth trauma. Once our dentist removes the pulp, canals are cleaned and sealed. A tooth without blood and nerve supply becomes brittle. Our dentist highly recommends covering a tooth with a crown after completion of root canal treatment.Dentures
People lose their natural teeth due to many reasons including injury, tooth decay, or periodontal disease. Not having your teeth could affect your health. With complete dentures, our dentist will restore your smile function and you can build confidence in yourself. There are different types of full dentures:- Conventional dentures are placed after all remaining teeth are removed and tissues are healed.
- Immediate dentures are placed into a person’s mouth the same day as all teeth had been removed. The biggest advantage of an immediate denture is the fact that you will not appear in public without your teeth. The biggest disadvantage is that denture doesn’t always fit accurately because the tissue does not heal so fast. In addition, a patient might need to visit our dentist for several relines.
Partial dentures
If you are missing some of your teeth, our dentist recommends getting partial dentures. Partial dentures restore speech, aesthetics, and mastication (chewing). Partial dentures consist of replacement teeth attached to pink colored plastic bases. There are different types of partials:- Plastic partial denture
- Plastic partial denture with metal frame. It has durable construction
- Valplast – Thin, flexible, esthetic nylon thermoplastic, biocompatible with tissues. Could be used in combination with a metal frame or alone
Extractions
A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth. Some of the reasons why teeth should be extracted:- Tooth decay – It is impossible to restore the tooth
- Gum disease – Teeth become lose due to periodontal problems with severe bone loss
- Orthodontic reasons
- Wisdom teeth
- Fractured teeth
- Extra teeth
Periodontal laser therapy
We use soft tissue laser for treatment of gum diseases. This treatment is very effective and pain free. While removing inflamed tissues inside periodontal pockets, the laser kills bacteria that cause gum disease. This treatment promotes effective reattachment of the gum to the tooth. If you have any further questions regarding the services that we offer, please call our office and our dentist will personally answer them.
